In a hotel, a bathroom is used more in one season than a home bathroom is in a decade. That changes the specification logic completely: you are not buying an object, you are buying a maintenance plan.
Ask about the cartridge before the shape
Mixer taps fail at the cartridge, not the body. A standard 35 mm or 40 mm ceramic cartridge means a housekeeper can restore a room in ten minutes with a part kept on site. A proprietary cartridge means a room out of service until a shipment arrives.
We ask factories for the cartridge standard and spare-part availability window in writing before a range enters a hotel package.
Finishes and cleaning chemistry have to match
Brushed brass, gunmetal and matte black are PVD or powder finishes with different chemical tolerances. Housekeeping uses what is in the trolley, so the finish must survive the actual product, not the ideal one.
Where a project insists on a delicate finish, we specify it in low-contact areas and keep a durable finish where hands and cloths land daily.
Wall-hung means the frame is the spec
A wall-hung WC is only as good as the concealed frame behind it. Load rating, access panel size and flush-plate compatibility all matter more than the ceramic.

Buy the room, not the item
We quote hotel bathrooms as a room package — WC, basin, mixers, shower set, drain, accessories — because that is how installers work and how errors get caught. A missing waste trap stops the same room as a missing basin.
