Layout to quantities

Lay a room out to scale, get the quantities

Place products on a floor plan and turn the layout into a priced quote.

The room planner lets you lay out products to scale on a floor plan — tiles, sanitary ware, furniture, lighting — then converts the layout into quantities, waste allowance and a priced quote.

Design & specify
01 / What it does

Room Planner, in practice

Stop under-ordering and re-visiting site: the room planner turns a layout into exact quantities and a priced quote before a single tile is cut.

01 / 04

End shortfalls and costly return trips

Real product dimensions against real room dimensions mean the order is right the first time.

Drawn to real dimensions, so setting-out is honest from day one.

02 / 04

Never under-quote a job again

Areas, piece counts and waste come straight from the layout, not a mental estimate.

Areas and quantities calculate live, waste factor included.

03 / 04

Quote in minutes, not after a re-measure

The plan becomes a line-item quote instantly, with no separate site re-measure needed.

Quantities flow straight into a quote — plan and price never drift.

04 / 04

Win approval from non-technical clients

Share a plan anyone can read, so sign-off doesn't stall on an unreadable drawing.

Legible to any client — plan, finishes and price in one view.

02 / How it works
01

Draw

Start from real dimensions, so the order that follows is right from the first step.

  • Enter dimensions or trace an existing plan; openings, niches and levels are handled explicitly.
  • Multiple rooms can share a finish schedule so a whole apartment or floor is planned in one pass.
02

Place

See exactly how a finish looks and fits before a single tile is ordered.

  • Drop real materials onto floors, walls and wet areas with format and layout direction respected.
  • Swap a finish and the quantities, waste and price recalculate immediately.
03

Quote

Get quantities and a price the moment the layout is done, with no re-measure needed.

  • Generate a priced quote with per-room breakdown for the client and per-material breakdown for ordering.
  • The plan stays attached to the project, so site teams work from the same version as the office.
03 / In depth

From a room layout to accurate quantities

A quote built on a guessed square metre is a quote that comes back to bite you in returns and site delays. The room planner takes real dimensions, applies the material's format and coverage, adds cutting waste and pattern allowance, and returns the quantity you actually need to order — box counts included.

Surfaces, zones and mixed materials

Mixed specifications are where quoting errors and wasted material usually creep in. Assign different finishes to floor, walls, wet zones, skirtings and feature panels, and the planner keeps a separate quantity and cost line for each while showing the whole room together.

Quantities that flow straight into a quote

A number you can stand behind at handover is worth more than a fast estimate you can't. Change a material and the quantities, packs and total update instantly.

06 / Questions

Frequently asked

Does it handle waste allowance?+

Yes — you set a percentage per material and quantities are calculated accordingly.

How is waste calculated?+

A default allowance is applied based on format and laying pattern, and you can override it per surface — diagonal or herringbone layouts need more than a straight lay.

Does it handle boxes and pack sizes?+

Yes. Quantities are rounded to sellable packs, which is what actually gets ordered and invoiced.

Can I use it without a CAD drawing?+

Yes — enter dimensions directly. If you have drawings, use them as reference alongside.
